Sulabh Toilet Museum Delhi or Sulabh museum of toilet is the 3rd weirdest museum of the world.Though underrated but it is a must visit place in Delhi for both adults and children which is located in Mahavir Enclave near Dwarka Sec 7.
The founder of Sulabh International Toilet Museum is Mr Bindeshwar Pathak who have done a Phenomenal work in the field of cleanliness.
The guide helped us a lot to show us the history of toilet . We also got to know the Toilets structure of Harappa and Mohenjodaro civilization which were built around 2500 BC.
We explored the Tent Toilet of South Korea which was used in mountaineering and adventure purpose. The solar panel toilet which is runs by solar energy was an unique experience to watch. It has a fan inside which dries the whole water of the waste. After using the toilet person had to pull this lever which in turn take out the dry waste which was later used as manure in the fields. Also visitor’s will get to see The world’s most expensive toilet of NASA. We saw a house shaped in form of toilet and a restaurant in Taiwan has complete toilet theme.
We find many dummy toilets outside .the museum. Mr Manoj Kumar Advisor or Curator of the Sulabh Museum Toilet helped us a lot by showing us the technicality of sewer system and other functioning.
This is the Sulabh Cleanliness Van called as Sulabh Swachata Rath which goes to rural areas for cleanliness aware program . This van has modern facilities for a meeting purpose like LED TV, Fridge, Sofa, Telephone, Toilet etc.
We saw filter plants which treat waste water. Filtered water is later used for for gardening, washing etc. The generator is run by biogas here. The cooking is also done by pure biogas here which is extracted from human excreta.
