We booked the Amtrak train from Amtrak Website which was quite convenient. Orlando to Miami by Amtrak Train journey was our best decision as it is quite cheap moreover we get a chance to explore US train.
There are two types of class in Amtrak one is coach other one is private cabin. The private cabin is expensive which ranges from $226- $282 per passenger.
While the cabin starts from $31 to $53 per person. They have different rates for morning and evening in the website. The coach is a kind of unreserved seating where the passenger can sit in any vacant seat of the train. There was two trains scheduled for that day one in the morning at 10:21 am and the other one was at 1:21 pm which reached at 6:59 pm at Miami station. It took us 5 hrs 40 min to reach Miami station. There are many zones at the station which starts from A to G Zone. At Orlando station Half n Hour before the Train arrival there was an announcement and passengers were asked to gather at a specific zone for our train number. The train numbers is printed in the boarding pass. When the train arrived we waited for the passengers to Deboard first then the TTE or Conductor asked us to board and find any vacant seat. The train departed at its schedule time. There were two diesal engines attached to our train. Amtrak train speed was not too fast but quite decent. As soon as we entered we felt like we are entering in an aircraft. The seats were quite comfortable and there are buttons or levers in the seats to adjusted as per passenger needs. There is a dining car too available for the passengers. The toilets were quite clean. At every station the driver kept announcing the station quite loud and clear.
