Pensacola Tourist attraction – Welcome back to the EXPLORE YOUR TRIP Channel. Today we’re exploring the beautiful coastal city of Pensacola and will tell you the best things to do in Pensacola. Pensacola in florida is famous for its white-sand beaches, rich history, delicious seafood, and amazing sunsets. If you’re planning a Florida getaway, this city definitely deserves a spot on your travel list. Let’s start our journey!
We started our journey from Houston. Houston to Pensacola distance was around 542 miles and it took us a little more than 10 hrs to reach there. We also took 3-4 breaks in between for food and Gas station refills. Be sure to take enough food and drinks with you in rainy season or for some other reason there might be jams without any notice. Also it is advisable to start early we started late around 11:30 am because of some unavoidable circumstances because of that we reach their close to 10 pm.
Beach Hotel in Pensacola
In my opinion it always better to book a beach hotel in pensacola. I know it is more expensive but you have come here for beaches only so why miss it for second? If you also feels the same then go for beach hotels.
About Pensacola City
After spending considerable amount of time in beach we explored the city. According to the city of pensacola website the city was established in 1559 also known as americas first settlement. Pensacola is actually known as one of America’s oldest settlements, and this area is full of beautifully preserved buildings and museums.
In Pensacola you will find lots of docking areas where you can check out the crystal-clear water and soft white sand — we went to quiet water beach and honestly it feels like paradise. There are lots of restaurant and shopping places lined one after another here. This is the perfect place for swimming, sunbathing, paddleboarding, or just relaxing with ocean views. The sunsets in Pensacola are unforgettable. Watching the sky turn orange and pink over the Gulf Coast is the perfect way to end the day. There are daily ferries too which visitors can book if they want. or Sea activity lovers there are lots of shops for sea equipments. As New Orleans is nearby like around 200 miles so before heading back to Houston we went there. Do check out our Pensacola to New Orleans blog for the same too.
Food Lovers
If you love seafood than you can’t visit Pensacola without trying fresh Gulf seafood. From shrimp and oysters to grilled fish tacos, everything tastes incredible here. There are lots of Indian restaurant also which is around 10-12 miles from our hotel. We tried the Dinner India restaurant and it was quite nice.
