  • New York Yellow Taxi – Whenever you visit New York do check out at least once these yellow cabs. These taxis runs in every part of New York City and are easily available anytime. You can just stop them at any point. These cabs might be a little expensive then Uber but they are worth experiencing at least once.

  • Times Square – New York is a city which never sleeps and one example of it is the Times Square. Known for its magnificient Billboards this place might be the most energetic place on earth. There are more than 90 billboards visitors can experience here. Immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of Times Square, the Crossroads of the World. Admire the flashing billboards, watch street performances, and soak in the bustling atmosphere of this iconic New York City landmark.   • Hop On and Hop Off Bus Tours – The best way of New York sightseeing is the Hop on bus tours where visitors can explore main parts of the city like Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty (with boat tour additional charges), 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Grand Central Terminal etc. Hop on Hop off bus tours are available in both day and night time. The only difference in day and night tour is that at night you cannot deboard the bus. But if you are travelling during summers (May to July) which is very hot  then you can opt for night tour.

  • New York Subway – Worried for your travelling expenses? Then Subway is here to rescue you. Subway covers almost every part of New York City. For visitors who want to stay for 4 or more days in New York can opt for unlimited card option as it will be much cheaper for them.

  • Staten Island Free Ferry – Do you know? the Staten Island Ferry is a fare-free passenger ferry. Visitors can ride it for free.  It runs for about 5.2 miles between the New York City boroughs of Manhattan and Staten Island. Visitors can enjoy the New York Skyline while enjoying the serene river Hudson. The view from the ferry was magnificent.

    Visitors can also see the statue of Liberty from a distance but for a clear view you have to book a paid ferry. This ferry runs after every 15 minutes and has lots of seats inside. Most of the time you will find lots vacant seats. There is both upper and lower deck where you can have a glimpse of the amzing view. The upper deck get filled up quickly and most of the time the lower deck has few takers. 

  • Statue of Liberty – For Statue of Liberty visitors can take the subway also. The nearest subway station is Bowling Green. You can find many agents outside the ferry station where you can approach to book your tickets. The visitors can bargain with the prices as they may charge exorbitant prices. Also many ticket scams happen here so do check them thoroughly before booking tickets.

    For statue of Liberty island you need a ferry to go there. There are two types of ticket one for Statue Of Liberty Island and the other one for hovering around the Statue of Liberty but not inside the island. Also if you have luggage with you then you are prohibited to enter the island. We did not enter the island as we have luggages with us, Also personally I find it more convenient to view the Statue of Liberty from a distance rather than from extreme close in the island. The total journey of the ferry was around 2 hrs.
  • Roosevelt Island Tramway – This Tramway runs over New York city East River. The nearest subway station is 59 ST- Lexington Av. Here you can witness aerial view of New York City which was superb. Experience breathtaking views of New York City by taking a ride on the Roosevelt Tramway. This aerial tramway connects Manhattan to Roosevelt Island and offers panoramic vistas of the city skyline.     The Tramway ride was very similar to riding a helicopter. After deboarding from the tram visitors can check out the Roosevelt Island, Visitors can find free shuttle buses from the Tramway station.

  • 9/11 Memorial – This memorial is just adjacent to world trade center. This memorial was built in remembrance of around 3000 people who died on Sept 11 2001 attack.

    The nearest Subway station is WTC Cortlandt towards Downtown to South Ferry on line no 1. Also do visit the Oculus building which is world trade center adjacent to 911 memorial. Visitors can find the subway from inside Oculus building.
  • Brooklyn Bridge – This bridge was made on May 24, 1883 which was designated as National Historic Landmark in 1964.

    This is NYC’s oldest suspension bridge. To avoid rush visitors are advised to come here early morning. You can see the beautiful East River below. The nearest  subway station is brooklyn station.

    The charging bull which represent growth is a bronze sculpture of around 3500 kg standing 11 feet tall and measuring 16 feet long. You will find a big queue of people who want to take pictures with the bull. It is advisable for visitors to come early morning  to avoid the rush. The nearest subway station is Bowling Green.
